How much will it cost?

The overall cost will depend on the details of your matter and how complex it is.

  • Wills

£250 + VAT for a simple will gifting your assets to your spouse/children. If there are multiple bequests and/or trusts involved then the fee will be higher and we will able to provide a quote when we have the details of what is required. A will can be executed very quickly, if required, however generally it will take a week to prepare and execute a will.

  • Trusts

it is not possible to give an accurate quote without knowing the details of what is required however a simple trust, for example, providing for shares in a jointly purchased property would cost £250 + vat but the fee would be higher in the case of more complicated trusts. We will be able to provide an estimate of fees once we have the full details of what is required.

  • Estate Disputes

the costs of dealing with a dispute such as this can vary widely and can be from £5,000 – £20,000 + VAT. We will give an estimate at the start of the matter based upon the information given and will then provide a regular update on fees as the matter progresses.

  • Lasting Power of Attorney (LPAs)

we will prepare these for a fixed fee of £250 + VAT in the case of straightforward LPAs but in the case of more complicated instructions we can provide an estimate of costs based upon the instructions given and these can be completed in a matter of days.

  • Probate, Trust and Estate Administration

the cost of obtaining probate and completing the administration of a deceased’s estate will depend on the complexity of the estate. Fees can range from £4,000 +VAT to more than £20,000 + VAT in the case of large complicated estates. Similarly, the time required to administer the estate will depend upon the complexity and size of the estate.
